Applications: Useful as a ground cover or edging plant. This is a good ground cover for a shady windy area. Since it is deciduous you don't need to worry about the leaves burning in the wind. If wind isn't a problem for you then I'd recommend European wild ginger (Asarum europaeum) over Canadian wild ginger. I think the leaves of European wild ginger are much prettier and it is also an evergreen.
