Graduation Requirements
2006 - 2007 Graduation Requirements
The Board desires that its standards for graduation meet the minimum standards
of the State Department of Education as well as those of the North Central
Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and, further, that our high
schools compare favorably with high schools in the state recognized for
excellence.
The minimum requirements for graduation from high school are as follows:
English 4 units
Social Studies 3 units
Science 3 units
Mathematics 3 units
Health and P.E. 1 unit
Electives 7 units
Total 21 units
Each student is required to complete three units in another subject in addition
to the English requirement. In addition to the above requirements, students
must pass all sections of the proficiency test in order to walk at graduation.
Summer school credits are accepted toward graduation provided that administrative
approval has been given prior to registration for the course.
